Bethel Dukes Branch, of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History honored Florence J. Radcliffe for her lifetime contribution as an historian, educator , and community leader on Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Brentwood, Maryland.  Mrs. Radcliffe was the 2010 recipient of the association's Mary McLeod Bethune Service Award.
